MONTMARTRE EN HIVER

Wandering the streets of Montmartre

Howard's Hat
it was so cold that Howard, the model of sartorial propriety, was moved to buy a beanie to protect his head and ears from the biting wind. Here Sandra and he seem to be auditioning for roles in Irma La Douce

An Aubrey Beardsley Door
What goes on behind the black door?

Artists in Residence
Over very welcome mulled wine, we watched the antics of artists trying to seduce tourists-mostly from Asia-to pose for sketching or buy samples of their paintings on display all round the square.

Maybe it was just in response to vandalism or could it have been because of the freezing weather that all the WCs had no seats??
