LOAVES AND FISHES

The farther one gets into Siberia the fewer Kiosks on Stations. But entrepreneurial peasants fill the need.

Food was shared but fortunately I was not invited to enjoy a vodka fest, card games and my drinks were not spiked (my St Pete's landlady was very worried about this) After about 4000klms of birch and pine trees, bogs and miles of nothing (except for impressive 1-2 kilometre crossings of some of the world's longest rivers-flowing 3-400klms to the arctic ocean, I was happy to pull into Ulan Ude, even in the wee small hours when my decision to be met at my stops proved to be well worth the expense.
