BARRY’S BREWERY BIRTHDAY
On 7 September, 1942 most Mancunians focus was on the antics of a certain Austrian corporal across the English Channel, but Elizabeth Smith had more pressing concerns as she was busily intent on giving birth to Barry.
Sixty-five years later, Barry is as much, if not even more of, a Melburnian than a Mancunian and so with wondrous serendipity, he has secured the premises of the Melbourn Bros Brewery in Stamford Lincolnshire for the celebration of this most auspicious birthday, on the evening of Saturday September 8th.
You are warmly invited to join him in an intense study of brewing technology (we start at 7pm with a brewery tour) much product quality testing along the way and then enjoying the sobering benefit of good food and excellent company.
• Stamford is one of England’s finest Georgian towns situated on the A1, just North of Cambridge and close to Peterborough.
• Melbourn Bros Brewery is situated at 21-22 All Saints Street.
• Saturday 8th of September starting at 7pm-Don’t be late and miss the brewery tour.
