Let's go Shooting
Never been a gun person but as Dennis is a responsible shooter and a medical Doctor who is not unfamiliar with gunshot wounds, Thought I ought to find out what it feels and sounds like.So went shooting in the snow on a ranch-quite an experience-had more problems with the noise than the kick back. Most fearsome was a high powered hunting rifle with scope-hit target twice. What must a battle be like?

We really needed the Ute's four wheel drive
Shooter's shack
Russian Makarov pistol bucked and cut my left thumb on recoil-Doc says I will live and that I can't sue him.
The Magnum revolver (used by Dirty Harry) was impossible. It bucked so hard that I missed the wall, let alone the target. But with an Ithaca shot gun I showed promise both hitting the target and bringing down three clay pidgeons out of about 12 that Dennis sent up.But not exactly Olympic standard.
My Target result-I would have killed someone!!

Mexican Kitsch
a farewell meal at Casa Benitez on way to the airport. This denver institution is a mexican theme park cum restaurant mainly designed to give parents relief from bored kids.It is a fairy grotto with lavish christmas lights, a floor show involving a diver who back flips down into a small pool, Pirates and Gorillas tear around in Panto style and all manner of amusement arcades and ghostly grottos distract your attention from the below par food.Great fun and great way to leave Denver.
